Dr. Aerik Williams grew up in the Buckeye State before traveling east to Baltimore, Maryland to attend The Johns Hopkins University. While at Johns Hopkins, he excelled both academically and athletically, serving as a 2-year captain of the varsity soccer team. He attended The Ohio State University after his undergraduate studies, earning his medical degree and a Master’s in Public Health. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Thomas Jefferson Hospital and served as a chief resident. “During my residency, I had a natural inclination to the field of Allergy and Immunology. The pathophysiology of allergic disease sparked my curiosity, and I spent most of my time in my mentor’s Allergy clinic evaluating asthma, allergies, and performing clinical research,” Dr. Williams says. His Allergy and Immunology fellowship training was performed locally at Wake Forest.

Dr. Williams has published literature in The American Journal of Medicine, The Journal of Asthma and Allergy, and BioMed Research International. He has also published and presented multiple abstracts at national Allergy and Immunology meetings. In his free time, Dr. Williams enjoys playing golf and basketball with his son!
